June 2019 Outreach: Help the Homeless


Throughout the month of June, St. Michael will be collecting the following items to HELP the HOMELESS:

  • Women’s/Men’s Underwear- all sizes
  • Women’s/ Men’s socks- all sizes
  • Women’s hygiene products (tampons/pads) all sizes
  • Individually wrapped granola bars
  • Individually wrapped sandwich crackers (cheese and peanut butter)
  • Individually wrapped nut bars
  • Individually wrapped packets of nuts
  • Individually wrapped packers of raisins
  • V8 juice cans
  • Juice boxes of all kinds
  • Travel shampoo
  • Travel soap
  • Travel sunscreen
  • Travel bug spray
  • Travel tissues
  • Travel sized deodorant
  • Travel sized toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes

*All items should be ALCOHOL-FREE!*
Donations will be delivered to Duffy Center for distribution to their patients and clients.

June 8, 2019 Spring Clean-Up at Church

We have set a date of Saturday, June 8 at 8:30 to gather people to help clean up the yard at our Church. We are asking for your help and participation. If we get good participation, it will not take long nor will it over-burden only a few.

The Annual Memorial Day Bake Sale, May 26, 2019

The Annual Memorial Day Bake sale will be held in lieu of the Coffee Hour on Sunday, May 26 by Women’s Group. This is a great time to stock up your kitchen with delicious home-baked treats to share with your family and guests!
ATTENTION BAKERS: This is an opportunity to share your talents with your parish friends. Please consider sharing your baked specialties with us for this fun and delicious fundraiser! Let Jourdan Clough or Elaine Burke know if you will need any special packaging for your contributions.

Event at Cataumet Village, May 19th

St. Michael will be hosting the event for the mothers and children at the Village at Cataumet on Sunday, May 19 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.
All parishioners are encouraged to attend!!! Please see Kh. Alyssa if you are interested in providing food for the event.

Paschal Orders 2019

Order PASCHAL SWEET BREAD (Tsoureki), KOULOURAKIA, and EASTER EGGS (red) today!
To place your order, complete the form below and mail it to Pauline Rassias or Elaine Burke or bring it to church before April 14 along with your check made out to St. Michael’s Women’s Group. Orders will be available for pickup on Palm Sunday after the Liturgy.

2019 Diocese Lenten Retreat & Youth Day

Bishop Anthony

We are so excited to welcome back His Grace Bishop ANTHONY of Toledo & the Midwest as our Keynote Speaker for the annual Lenten Retreat which will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at St. George Church in West Roxbury. This event is sponsored by the Antiochian Women of the Diocese of Worcester & New England, and will begin with Divine Liturgy at 9:00 am and conclude with Great Vespers at 3:00 pm. Lunch is included. Adults are $20, teens and children are free. Activities will be offered for children ages 2.9-12 during the times that Bishop Anthony is speaking to the adults and teens. Please register in advance no later than March 15, 2019 via mail, or by March 23, 2019 online.

Our annual Fish Feast will be on Sunday, March 24 to benefit Zoe House!!! Make your reservations by RSVPing to Kh. Alyssa. If you are unable to attend the dinner after Liturgy, please be sure to support this life-saving ministry by sending your donation to St. Michael with Zoe House in the memo of the check!
